Warner Jazz Showcase
1,000 Yen Jazz Re-issues (Volume 1)
To describe the catalogue of Warner Jazz as immense is understating their repertoire: Miles Davis, Freddie Hubbard, Billy Cobham, Duke Ellington… The list is so wonderfully enticing. Allow us to share with you some special moments.
In 2012 Japan launched their 1,000 Yen Jazz re-issues series. This collectable range now spans over 300 classic & rare jazz albums, with sales of over 600,000 units to date. The first 100 releases, by artists such as Charles Mingus and The Modern Jazz Quartet are now available in their original Japanese packaging. Armed with such knowledge, allow Mike Chadwick to introduce to you to some of his personal favourites from within – the groundbreaking Betty Carter to the versatility of Duke Ellington, one hour of goodness awaits discovery.
Your feedback is always welcome and we hope you enjoy another unique presentation from Warner Jazz and SoulandJazz.com.
