The North Sea Jazz Festival, held in Rotterdam, Netherlands, has over the last 40 years played host to most, if not all, of the greatest jazz names of our age. Herbie Hancock, Dizzy Gillespie, Ella Fitzgerald, Oscar Peterson, and Miles Davis have all graced the multi-staged venue during that period. To mark the 40th anniversary of such an auspicious occasion, I've created a special edition of FOLDEDSPACE to pay tribute to some of the artists who have played there in the past and also those that will be appearing this time around. Expect incredible music from Dizzy Gillespie, Carmen Lundy, Joshua Redman, José James and many, many more.
