Another month, another clutch of amazing tunes. Serously going crazy over the new LP from Taylor McFerrin (son of Bobby). The mixture of soul, electronica and jazz has really blown me away with the depth of its quality. New discovery Jordan Rakei also has me in his musical spell. The young man from Brisbane, Australia really has hit the musical sweet spot with his falsetto voice - there are two songs from him in this set. The quality continues with Weather Report's Joe Zawinul, L.A. based pianist Daniel Crawford (aided by Cleveland Jones), Bill Laurance, Michael Franks and Steely Dan. We also chat to Incognito's Bluey about his 35 year career, Kris Bowers about his new album Heroes and Misfits and to Martin 'Ceviche' Morales about his new compilation on Tigers Milk records.
