Shanachie Records Showcase
Volume 1
Into its fourth decade, Shanachie Records – “Shawn-ah-kee”, was founded in the Bronx by Richard Nevins in 1975. Although originally associated with traditional Irish music, it’s now a major player in the Soul & R&B world.
From the late 90s through to the here and now, Brian Hurst takes a look at 13 incredible tracks. There’s UK flavours from Down To The Bone & Incognito, plus KILLER 2012 grooves from Mint Condition, Maysa Leak & Leela James. Brace Yourself.
Your feedback is always welcome and we hope you enjoy another unique presentation from SoulandJazz.com.
